Claire has a BA in Art & Design form Leeds Metropolitan University and this is what she says about her art:
"When I first began painting, I was an incredibly quiet person, and I found that producing highly emotive images helped me express elements of my character that would otherwise have remained trapped inside. Art has long been used as a form of therapy, due to the enjoyment that comes from the process of creating it, the sense of achievement that comes from the completion of a piece, and the cathartic aspect of releasing feelings from the subconscious that cannot be put into words. I like to compose beautiful images that intrigue and inspire people. I wish to keep my output as varied as possible, so I switch between a range of media, emotions, styles and genres. I am inspired not just by other visual artists, but also by writers, musicians, film-makers, and anybody who uses creativity as a means of communicating ideas and making sense of life experiences."
