Mary Dalgleish Head 2 Toe Massage
Mary did the first ever Natural Face Lift Massage course in the UK with Kundan Mehta at the London Centre of Indian Champissage International (LCICI) and has been teaching this course on behalf of LCICI for over 10 years - see www.faceliftmassage.com>> for further information |
| Aims & Structure: |
The aim of the course is to provide a comprehensive grounding in the theory and practice of Natural Face Lift massage. Students will be able to use the technique as a principal or subsidiary part of their professional practice.
In order to qualify, students will need to do case studies before taking a written and practical examination. Once qualified, students will obtain a Diploma from the London Centre of Indian Champissage International, which is affiliated with the CMA and recognised by most major insurance companies.
|
| Who is eligible: |
Anyone may attend the 4-day course. It is an excellent introduction to hands-on therapy, whether you want to pursue it professionally or just use it on your friends and family. Those wishing to use Natural Face Lift Massage professionally must complete case studies and do a written and practical examination. Once qualified you can subscribe to the LCICI register, which is featured on the Face-Lift Massage website www.faceliftmassage.com and use the letters ‘Dip.NFLM’ (‘Diploma in Natural Face-Lift Massage’) after your name. |
| How does it work: |
Tension can very easily build up in our facial muscles without us realising it. Over a period of time, habitual thoughts and emotions can lock themselves into expressions on our faces – particularly around the eyes and mouth. This can be exacerbated by additional factors such as sun, pollution, alcohol, poor diet, lack of sleep, the effects of gravity and every day stresses and strains. Under such conditions muscles can actually “dry up” and contract, inhibiting freedom of expression. This can encourage ageing and the formation of wrinkles as the face loses its muscle tone and elasticity and begins to sag.
Natural Face Lift Massage can relieve tension in areas you had no idea were tense. Energy balancing techniques bring a deep feeling of relaxation to the whole body and the noticeable effects can quickly be seen on the face.
During the treatment, over ninety face and neck muscles are systematically massaged. Acupressure points are activated, stimulating energy flow and releasing deep-seated tension, freeing layers of muscle and connective tissue (8 of the 12 major energy meridians have points on the face!). Ayurvedic ‘smoothing’ techniques are used so that circulation and elimination are improved and the tissues can glide smoothly over the deeper layers of muscle and bone. The whole process has been described as a bit like ironing out the creases, making the skin feel smoother and softer and improving the complexion and skin tone.
Although you can see a difference after only one treatment (and this makes clients want to come back for more!), the effects are cumulative and work best over a course of 6-8, one hour weekly treatments depending on each individually assessed person – taking account of age, skin condition and lifestyle factors.
|
| Benefits: |
This wonderfully relaxing treatment lessens wrinkles and expression lines, tightens facial contours, tones and improves the complexion, releases stress and tension in surrounding muscles, soothes tension headaches, eyestrain and stress-related symptoms, enhances feelings of well-being and encourages a positive and confident appearance.
Natural Face Lift Massage proves that you don’t need to undergo expensive procedures (often carrying negative side effects) in order to look younger. Wrinkles and expression lines are eased to leave a more vibrant, youthful appearance. Skin becomes softer, eyes appear brighter and the complexion looks fresher and more toned. Bagginess and puffiness around eyes and chin are reduced and flexibility and mobility return to the face. As well as the visible benefits, clients often report feeling more relaxed and positive, sleeping better and obtaining relief from headaches and other stress related symptoms. |
| After treatment advice: |
Just as the body benefits from exercise, so too can the face and a qualified therapist will be able to recommend specific exercises to tone areas of the face that cause concern. Skin care and common sense dietary advice will also be given and follow up sessions every 4-6 weeks are usually recommended to maintain the benefits. |
