Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary health therapy, based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears correspond with different areas of the body.
This is a powerful and ancient therapy involving massage to specific pressure points via thousands of nerve endings. Stimulation to these points can allow an insight into the health of the inner body. It may also help to activate the body’s own healing mechanisms, improve the circulation, increase the removal of waste and induce a state of deep relaxation.
Reflexology treats the whole person and therefore most people benefit from treatment. Reflexologists work holistically with their clients and aim to work alongside allopathic healthcare to promote better health for their clients.
Reflexology is an ideal treatment for mum’s to be. I have found that shorter treatments of approximately 40 minutes are more appropriate during pregnancy and am happy to negotiate a reduced rate for these treatments. Regular treatments are recommended.
Dear Mary, thanks you for all your help, advice and support during my pregnancy and of course for your magic fingers!” (Lucy).
